After being launched in 2008, Darling is still a fairly young and new brand. But they've definitely come a long way in this very short amount of time - Nadia Moraes is to thank for that, because after owning her own boutique she noticed how there was such a lack in beautiful yet affordable clothes and decided to fill this gap herself. It's a very good job she did, because the results of her hard work are incredible.
Gorgeously feminine and vintage inspired with pretty and subtle details that really highlight just how beautifully unique this brand is, it's no wonder that it has a strong celebrity following that includes the likes of Fearne Cotton and Kelly Brook. Not to mention that the classically English vintage looks have been featured on the glamorous, shiny pages of Elle and Marie Claire - talk about success. But we're not done yet! The 2011 Drapers Fashion Awards saw Darling voted as Womenswear Brand of the Year, and that's really saying something.
So this a pretty special brand, right? Honestly, the clothes are like a dream. Who knew such amazing clothes could be so affordable, too. You may have seen them at London Fashion Week. Sarah Jessica Parker and Pippa Middleton definitely did - they're fans of this gorgeous brand and soon you will be too. We're talking about Almost Famous, a lovely brand who are now actually pretty famous and have worked their way up to 160 pieces each season. Wow! But they haven't always been that way. They started out in 2002 with just a few pairs of jeans with some stylish embroidery and appliqué (oh how we loved the noughties), but they soon expanded after there was a demand to create complimentary separates for the denim pieces. By autumn 2006, the brand were launching a full womenswear collection which gained a lovely following, and now here we are gazing upon the gorgeous prints in bright, lively colours and a brilliant variety of pieces, from fun day dresses to sophisticated evening dresses, pretty tops and cosy jumpers to easy-going jeans that you'll find yourself living in.
